Wind power

Most people dont think about it but renewable energy has been in use since the middle ages and before during the persian empire (around 500-900AD!). When windmills were used to grind flour without the long process of constantly beating it so it could be used to make bread.

Wind power was first used by the Dutch to remove excess water from sites and in turn spread it to where it was needed. While the United States settled the plaines they required methods in order to move large quantities of water around and pull it up from the earth so they could use it to distribute water to crops.

Now that we know some information on wind power we can come to the conclusion it IS one of the few non poluting sources of power that we can use with little to no cost to ourselves. Today we can even take windpower and convert it into electricity. This is an inexpensive and cheap way to lessen our dependency on foreign oil monopolies as well as improve global health.

At a few sites you can learn about about solar energy and how you can even contribute to the overall outcome of its effect. Remember for every person that steps up and makes a difference an entire community is affected.
